Honey Needs New Home

Hi Everyone,

This is my mare Honey.  These photos were taken in October 2010, on a beautiful sunny day in Beavercreek, Oregon.

If you are interested in a lovely, healthy, 21 year old Arabian mare, please consider being Honey’s next great home.

I have owned her since 1999, 12 years, and I simply don’t ride enough, or desire to ride at this time.  (Goofy, I know, but it’s the truth, and I have to admit it and find her a new rider.)  I love her, and can attest to her health; she is very sound because I haven’t put any ride time on her in several years.  She is 14.2 hands high.

A great match for Honey would be someone who wants to connect and love a horse.  Her birthday is July 19, and she is very much a Cancer – interested in the herd, the people, the relationships.  She is gentle on the ground, very mannerly, and lots of get up and go for trail riding.

Over the twelve years, her teeth have been done 7 times.  The last tooth appointment was in September 2010, and there was very little change to make.  She has been well cared for, vaccinated as required, and last wormed after a fecal test was performed by her vet.

I have used love, herbs, body work, and training that works for me and my horse.  Click on the link to see Chris Irwin Horse Trainer, for a taste of what kind of training has been instrumental for us.

She is a willing horse, and obedient to me and all her care takers and handlers.  I have always received nice compliments about her behavior since I have stabled her in the last 5 years.  Prior to that I lived in the country with her and my other two horses.

Her pedigree includes the stallions, Witez II & Nabor.  She is strong and able, and will fulfill someone’s riding wishes for many years to come.

Honey is loving, beautiful, kind and fun.  Her dam finished the 100 mile Tevis Cup Endurance Ride in California (the Sierra Mountains).  She was a lovely mare, as well.

Honey will be free to a great home.

P.S.  She is welcome to stay boarded where she is (Beavercreek, Oregon) if you don’t have property.
